1 setiap 5 pelajar sakit mental..........???

(sumber)

Kita perjuangkan apa sebenarnya?

STUDENTS AND STRESS
Thursday, September 29th, 2011

PETALING JAYA: The study, called 'Healthy Mind Programme', was aimed at conducting mental health screening for symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress (DAS) in six secondary schools including one in Sabah.

Liow said the ministry survey showed the number of people seeking medical attention for mental health problems was 10.6 per cent in 1996 but rose to 11.2 per cent, with 6.4 per cent having considered suicide, in 2006.

Liow said a high number of those seeking treatment in 2006 were those aged between 16 and 19, and those aged between 70 and 74.

CHILDREN as young as 12 are so stressed from studies that they seek outside help for mental problems.

Befrienders statistics showed how pressure to achieve results can affect the younger generation, as out of the 18,700 calls they took last year, one in 10, was from a person below the age of 20.

IN MALAYSIA, AN ESTIMATED ONE IN FIVE CHILDREN (2.22 MILLION) REPORTEDLY SUFFER MENTAL PROBLEMS, INCLUDING DEPRESSION, SELF-HARM PLUS SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AND TENDENCIES.

11.3 peratus rakyat Malaysia sakit mental, bermakna hampir 3.3 juta orang.
50,000 kes cuba bunuh diri setahun dengan hanya 233 pakar sakit jiwa seluruh Malaysia.
